If it is Moyes at leat he has now seen all the available talent in Spain and might sniff out a bargain or too. Expect interest in a few Everton players too - Mirallas, Osman or Naismith.

You'd have to think it's going to be Moyes. The arrival of his chief scout beforehand seems like a bit of a coincidence.
Of course he is denying it while he has another gig - all managers do until it actually happens.

Moyes has a clause in his contract stating no compensation if a PL club come after him. I know the latest info is he is staying in Spain, but things can change quickly in football. He is still allegedly our no 1 target.

Who ever it may be the Dave's do not pay compensation for managers. Like paying fees for defenders it is not their way. Yes there is always an exception (Creswell) but I think for the purposes of this thread we can rule out managers contracted to other clubs. If I were a betting man I would put my house on BfS still being here next year. They will not take a gamble and will not find anyone they feel would be better. As for BfS he will conclude he is better off with us than e.g. QPR, Fulham or even Sunderland.

Given the likes of McLaren and Redknapp being mentioned, Laudrup wouldn't be the worst appointment but since his 4 years at Brondby he hasn't stayed anywhere more than a couple of years so he wouldn't be a long term appointment.

The odds on Ancelloti are going to shorten now Madrid are out of the CL and 2nd in the league, so his days there are numbered, Doubt we will see him but like it or not (I hope not), my money would be on Redknapp or McClaren, PL experienced, safe but mediocre.
